Challenge no.55 - July Mood Board

Hello Everyone

We have a super new challenge for you today and it's a gorgeous mood board.  We really hope that you will love it as much as we do! ;-)

You can create a card, tag, layout, an altered project, journal pages or even a digital project! You can create whatever you like! ;-)

Please remember to also tell us what inspired you from the mood board above.

Guest Designer Badge

We have a super duper, amazing, special Guest Designer for this challenge.
I am sure you will know her - Lisa Novogrodski! ;-)

Here's a little about Lisa.

My name is Lisa Novogrodski- I have been in the scrapbooking/ mixed media world for several years now. I started out with a simple scrapbook style that has now evolved into a mixed media grungy style alternating with shabby chic depending on my mood. I also love to draw and paint and am focusing on artistic growth in that area. I've been lucky enough to design for some amazing companies over the years. Currently I design for BoBunny and Scraps of Darkness and Scraps of Elegance where I also am the Design Team Coordinator. I have also had the honor of being published in several print magazines - Somerset Memories, Scrapbooking and Beyond and Crafts N Things. Thanks so much to Denise for inviting me to guest design this month and participate with this fabulous mood board!

Lisa created this gorgeous and stunning page.

This is a photo of one of my scrapbook friends - Jenny Dodds. I have known her a long while in the scrap world. She was a member of Scraps of Darkness from way back. I always wanted to scrap this photo for her and I used to tell her all the time. I never got to it and her husband just passed away in January. When I saw the mood board and the quote this photo immediately came to mind. That was my biggest inspiration and I wanted to incorporate the colors and rustic feel although this is a very shabby page.

The earthy colours of this page are just gorgeous and the styling so very pretty! ;-)
Thanks so much Lisa for creating this fabulous page for us! ;-)

Please pop over to Lisa's blog...you will find plenty of inspiration and looooots of beauty! ;-)

To offer some more inspiration, we also have a previous TOP HAT Erina Katerina, who has created a stunning and beautiful page.

I'm Erina and I live in Crete island of Greece, with my beautiful family !!! From small kid I had an artistic mood and i was practicing for many years  through painting !!! In 2011 at my trip to England I learned the magical world of crafts !! First from the cards and later
with my first lessons in scrapbook-ing !! The scrapbooking enchanted me , mainly because I could keep alive my  memories and accurate the history of every picture !!I love all the
styles of scrapbooking but mostly i love to play with colours!!!So I make greeting cards,
layouts, mini albums and lately I get in at the magical world of art journal !! A world of
fun and mostly relaxing !!! For me scrapbooking became and will always remain my
favoutite hobby!

My inspiration came from the colours and flowers and the wood!!!I hope you like it!!Thanks for

GD!!!!!!Hugs and Kisses!!!

The styling and textures are just amazing! Thanks so much Erina for creating this beauty
for us! ;-)
Please pop over to Erina's blog to see more of her beautiful work.

Thanks again to Lisa and Erina for providing such divine inspiration for the July Mood

Meet the new Design Team - Part 2

Hello Everyone

Apologies...I should have done this post already...but life has a way of getting "busy" on one! LOL

In any case... in this 2nd part, I am going to list the next few new members of the Design Team.

I am really so pleased to have all these ladies on the team and I am thrilled that they agreed to share the Scrap Africa journey with me, for the next year! ;-)

So a huge welcome to all these amazing ladies! ;-)

Beatriz Sanchez

I am Spanish and live in Pamplona (Navarra), the city of the "San Fermines". I live with my 5 year old son and my three kittens adopted. Since childhood I liked to do and work with my hands, paint, create ... all I could express my heart through my hands. I like painting, I painted pictures and have become useless things useful to my great imagination like my mother, jejejeje says ... I also love photography and I am very sensitive but I have my character. When I discovered scrapbooking ... I found my happy world !!! because it binds everything that I like.
Well, I think now if you all ... with emotion forget to write.

A big hug and thank you very much again

Beatriz

Here is some of Beatriz's gorgeous work.

Christina Panetsou

My name is Christina Panetsou and I'm a happily married mommy of three from beautiful and sunny Greece.
I always wanted to keep my memories alive, that's why I started scrapbooking back in 2013.
I mostly scrap about my kids, they are my inspiration.
I don't have any specific style, I always want to try new stuff!

Enjoy the journey...
Thanks for stepping by,
Love
Christina

Here's a little taste of Christina's gorgeous work.

Eirini Tsaima

Hello, my name is Eirini (Irene)Tsaima.I live and work as a trainer in a public school in the beautiful  island of Crete in sunny Greece.I'm married to a wonderful man who tolerates and supports  my  new passion ... scrapbooking!!!We have two kids and their coming in our lives, made me looking into anything handmade  that I could do as a new mother  to keep memories  alive.Somewhere  there I met  scrapbooking albums, lay outs and cards until I fell on mixed media ... That was !! It was love at  first  sight .Ever since i  stuck in this style, making lay outs who express me  at different phases of my life .Personally i like order and discipline in my life, but not in art.Art has no limits and barriers ... Inspired by everything in everyday life, from a photo-advertisement-music up to  a walk in my garden, by the sea or  at the center of my town.Glad to be the Design Team of Scrap Africa and I hope  in my turn to give inspiration to all of you.You can find me here http://renagym.blogspot.gr/ ,https://www.pinterest.com/eirinitsaima/ and on facebook .
Love you xxx..

Elzbieta Noga

My name is Ela, but in scrap-world I have a nickname Sonrisa. In Spanish it means "a smile". It's because, when I scrap, I smile a lot. That's my passion and I love it sooo much. And also I wish some of my cards, albums or even LOs will make smile someone else...
In my private life I am a wife and a mother. I like scrapbooking, healthy cooking and travelling. I love experiments and trying new thing; vegetarian, Indian food and I am very keen on running and... reading... ;)
