Sketch no. 28

Hello Friends

It's 01st April and it's amazing how the fourth month of the year has arrived so quickly!

We have a super sketch challenge today and some amazing Guest Designers to inspire and wow you! ;-)

So without further adieu, here is the sketch.

We have some super Guest Designers today and I just know that you are going to love these projects.

Firstly, we have a really Special Guest Designer today - Missy Whidden.

I first saw Missy's work at My Mind's Eye and absolutely loved her style and flair.

I know you will love her work too!

Here's what Missy had to say.

Hi, everyone! I'm Missy Whidden, and I live in sunny Florida. I've been married to my awesome husband for 14 years, and we have two beautiful daughters. When I'm not scrapping, I'm a stay-at-home Mom and a fitness instructor. I teach Spinning and Body Pump classes at our local YMCA. I love helping and motivating people to get in shape and feel good about themselves! I began scrapping about eight years ago, right before the birth of our first daughter. I helped my mother-in-law create a baby book for my husband, and I was instantly hooked. My style has evolved over the years.

I love getting messy with modeling paste and paints, especially watercolors. I love patterned paper, stamping and washi tape. My family is usually the focus of my pages. I'm so thankful to be guest designing here at Scrap Africa today! Thank you so much for having me!

Missy created this amazing and stunning page! I love this fun, beautiful and gorgeous page, with the super layering, accents and divinely sweet photo!

Missy provided some wonderful close-ups too. These give some insight into Missy's amazing styling!

First up we have an extremely talented lady, who is also such a sweet and lovely lady too -

Romy Veul.

Romy created a soft, dreamy and elegant page! The details and layering are just so super and perfect!

Gorgeous in every way!!

Next up is Athanasia Papantoniou.

Athanasia created this delightful page.

So soft, so gorgeous and just wonderful! I soooo love the doodling and stamping and that amazing background! So fabulous!

We also have a really super and creative lady -

Asmah Zainal Abidin.

Asmah created this gorgeous and detailed page! The punched and stitched edges are just fabulous and the string weaving is such a lovely and creative touch!

The last of our Guest Designers is Stephanie Papin.

"I was inspired by the sketch, but I changed some things, I hate to create my page exactly as the sketch; example here, I must confess: I hate stars (he he he :)) so I found other large embellishments to replace the stars, of course, I chose large flowers and large labels! Also, I used a buffer negative photo / band 'to approach the sketch. I framed my picture with a small mat that I tore slightly. I tried to find two horizontal bars at the top and bottom of my page. Here's some explanation in a few words on my page! "

Stephanie created this amazing page, in her amazing and wonderful style! This mixed media page is so super and the background so fabulous!

Design Team Call

Hi Everyone

We are excited to announce a Design Team call!

We are growing and require new DT members to compliment the present team.

And we want YOU to apply.

We're looking for creative, innovative designers for a period of 1 year, starting May 2014.

Here's how:

A warm welcome to our newest DT Member - Marta Lapkowska

Hello Everyone

I really have some fabulous news to share with you! We have a super new Design Team member and I am sure you will know her name, Marta Lapkowska!

My name is Marta Lapkowska.

I was born and raised in Poland. I am currently living in Ireland and have been for the last nine years.

I am a proud mum of a beautiful girl Emily. My inner soul is truly a creative person. Since I remember I have loved art and craft and have a passion for innovative techniques. I love playing around, experimenting and creating unique pieces. From cards and tags to layouts, mix media canvases, art journal and altered objects.

For the past two years creating is my way of living - so far it's the best journey I could have imagined.

Top 3 and Winners - Sketch no.27

Hello Everyone

Welcome to a new week and a new set of winners and TOP 3 for sketch no.27.

We absolutely loved this soft, delicate and special page! The colouring is so absolutely delightful and just speaks to the softness of this page! Gorgeous, in every way and so elegant!! So awesome Mona!

Second place goes to this wonderful and beautiful page by 5. Asmah Zainal Abidin (Malaysia)! Well done Asmah, you really created a vibrant and beautiful girlie page! We loved your blooms, sewing and fabulous styling!

In 3rd place is this soft and artsy page by 18. Stéphanie Papin. Congratulations Stephanie on this gorgeous page, with your amazing stamping, colouring and super photo's! We so loved it!

Congratulations to all 3 ladies, your pages are just so wonderful!!! It really was so tough to pick between these 3 awesome pages.

Challenge no.27 - Stars and Stitching

Hello Everyone

We have a great new challenge for you today, and it's all about Stars and Stitching.

I had been Googling this theme and came upon this super page by Kinsey Wilson, so thought this would be some lovely inspiration for this challenge.

So the challenge is to create a layout, card or tag and use stars and stitching on these projects.

We have some super guest Designers for this challenge and they are the awesome members from Zeus and Zoe Etsy Shop. They created these amazing pages!

First up is Charlie G.

This is a fabulous card and I love that star flower and stunning artistry! It looks like a painting! So beautiful!

Next up is Lizzy Hill

Isn't that just the most amazing and precious photo! The page is so beautiful too, with the beautiful laces, blooms and splats! Gorgeous page!

Marivic also created 2 super page for us. So love the beautiful colouring and the sweet, sweet photo on this first page.

The second one is such a super boy page! Check the cheeky photo and the wonderful accents! ;-)

Anna Rogalska is a previous TOP 3 and created this wonderful and gorgeous page for us too. The little fella is so very sweet and love the colouring for this super boy page!
