Challenge no.16 - Confetti, Triangles and Black & White Photo's

Hello Everyone

Happy Monday! We hope that you had a wonderful weekend, and are ready to tackle the week and our new challenge!

This challenge is hosted by the wonderfully talented Rene Sharp and this is her challenge to you:
Create a project, using Black and White photo's, Triangles and Confetti.

Before we share all the inspiration with you, we want to show you what you could win, by entering this challenge. We will randomly choose a winner.

Prize from 2crafty

2 Crafty strives to offer affordable and versatile laser cut chipboard products to the Australian and International Craft market.

2Crafty’s products are manufactured here in Australia and offer products suitable for scrapbooking, cardmaking, altered art, invitations and mixed media, and with over 1000 designs, every area has been covered.

2Crafty’s owner Vanessa, stumbled on the demonstration of the laser cutter at one of the Sydney craft fairs back in 2006 and although her background was Human Resources and payroll her creative mind could see unlimited possibilities and so began her journey into the world of a craft wholesaler.

2Crafty designs are supported both locally and in the overseas market and Vanessa strives to offer the highest level of customer support, and is happy to discuss personalized orders with customers via their local scrapbooking store.

2Crafty also offers a fabulous blog that is updated weekly with projects created from its wonderful Design Team with both local and international designers which includes the very talented Di Garling, Chantal Vandenberg, Elena Olinevich, Fiona Johnstone, Keren Tamir, Leonie Neale-Dawson, Linda Eggleton.

The 2Crafty website, although a wholesale website, offers you a birds eye view of all the wonderful designs that it offers. Make sure you check out the stockist list and don’t be afraid to ask your local store to order products that they may not have in stock.

Aren't these just gorgeous?! Play along and they could possibly be yours!!

I want to start today's inspiration patch, with Rene's layout and also some close-ups of the page.
This page really has so much to it, that I really want you to see the different parts.

(I put my confetti in a little bag which I sewed onto my page)

(The triangles I used are in the form of a banner)

This is really such a super page Rene! The detailing is just superb! ;-)

Guest Designer Badge

We also have some wonderful inspiration from Anna Wiosanka.  Anna was a previous Top 3.

My Photo

The background work and that sweet photo are just amazing! Thanks Anna for this super page!

Okay, so let's move on to the Design Team.

I made my own mask by cutting triangles into chipboard and then adding texture paste to it for the triangles scattered across my layout. My confetti was punched with a square punch instead of the traditional round and adhered using a was crayon to lift the confetti - try it - it really works!

I cut my triangles with the Silhouette and I decided to use my confetti as a border below the photo.  I love the contrast between the black and white photo and the colourful border.

I added a close up to show one of my 3 clusters of confetti...

So you have until the 30th April to submit your entries.
We really look forward to seeing all your creations!
