Hello Everyone
Within any Design Team, members come and go and it's a cycle of saying goodbye to good friends made and saying hello to new friends and inviting in new and fresh creativity.
So firstly I would like to say thanks and goodbye to Jowilna Nolte, Patricia Basson, Lynette Jacobs (Lynette is on an absence of leave, but may yet be back) and Cathi Smith O'Neill and Rene Sharp! Thanks so much for all your creativity and inspiration over your terms! It was truly appreciated.
It is also very sad to let you know that Evgenia Petzer has decided to step down from Scrap Africa, as her life has become very hectic after the birth of her second son! She and Svetlana Austin were the founders of this blog and really it was their baby to begin with! I am really going to miss her, but I really do wish her well!
So there is definitely changing times on the blog, but I am hopeful that we will grow and with the new Design Team members, we will continue to bring you new and exciting challenges, and also bring you some new and fresh creativity.
Marta Lapkowska is also going to be taking over the FaceBook activities for Scrap Africa. It is so great that she will be helping me out and also bringing a fresh and new touch to our FB site.
Thanks so much Marta, your help is really appreciated! ;-)
So a very warm welcome to Alexandra Polyzou and Jo Tritton! I am thrilled that these ladies have joined our team and I know that you are going to love their work. They are really both such talented ladies.
So to tell you about them, here is Alexandra firstly.
.My name is Alexandra Polyzou and i'm from Greece.I'm a working woman, married happily to my hubby and I have 3 kids....Valentina 9 years old, Costantino 7,5 years old and our little one...Elena 15 months only!I' m creative by nature and I love any kind of crafts but scrapbooking is above all these, my true passion!!!I discovered it by accident 2 years ago and it was a love at first sight .I like everything with paper crafting - traditional 12X12 pages, minis, cards and more. I’m not sure I have a style. I’m always searching for new ideas and techniques. Scrapbooking my photos and seeing my family's memories displayed on paper and projects is very important to me....
I'm actually a DT member of SCRAP AROUND THE WORLD , LIFE.PAPER.SCRAPBOOK , SCRAPBOOKING IN GREECE & SCRAPSNPIECES challenge blogs ....you can see all my scrapbook creations on my blog http://avc-creations.blogspot.gr/

Here is a little taste of Alexandra's work.
Please pop over to Alexandra's blog, I am sure she would appreciate a visit and you will be sure to find some wonderful inspiration.
So to tell you a bit about Jo Tritton, here is what Jo had to say.
Gidday! My name is Jo Tritton (Joanne really but only my parents call me by my full name...cringe), and I was born, raised and still live in a small town in the central west of New South Wales, Australia. I've been married to my childhood sweetheart for 30 years & we have two wonderful grown children (a pink & a blue). We also have two very spoilt fur babies. Besides my papercrafting addiction I love reading (everything & anything), photography, watching movies, gardening & as you will see from many of my layouts we love travelling. I work part-time outside the home as well.
I discovered scrapbooking 9 years ago & I've been hooked ever since. I naturally fell into cardmaking & off-the-page projects not long after. I have been published in Australian Scrapbooking Memories Magazine & Australian Scrapbook Creations on several occasions as well as being on the Design Team for Craft Queen (an online papercrafting supply store) & Orange Paperie & Co. Recently I've been a GD for CSI: Colour, Stories, Inspiration.
I'm lucky enough to now have a dedicated creation room, where I spend every spare minute playing & generally enjoying myself. My family indulge me with the appropriate vocal noises whenever I create a new page, which is all the encouragement I need to continue with this wonderful hobby. I've discovered recently that I am more content with my work by sticking to what I'm comfortable with rather than trying to do whatever everyone else is doing. I like to try different techniques & I like a little bit of mixed media & I'm happy using patterned paper or plain cardstock. Depending on what mood I'm in. I'm more comfortable with feminine pages than I am with masculine layouts.
This hobby lifts me out of my comfort zone & constantly challenges me. But the best thing about it is the kindred-spirits that I've been lucky enough to meet on this amazing journey. My fellow papercrafters never fail to inspire & encourage me to continue to push my creativity to higher levels. Scrapbooking is a type of escapism for me & I can't remember what I did before it became a part of my life. I'm so happy that I can record my life & the lives of my family for future generations.
I'm so honoured to be on the Design Team for Sprap Africa & I can't wait to get stuck into the fantastic challenges on offer here. I hope I can inspire you to join in.
Jo's blog can be found here. Please pop over and say Hi, and also see her stunning work!
I really look forward to seeing Alexandra and Jo's creativity and I really look forward to working with them!
xx
