You will need to create any scrap project (a layout, a card or an altered object) with a phrase on it "Keep Calm and..." - the end of the phrase is up to you. Be funny, be creative, be thoughtful - whatever the moodyou are in, as long as you spread the calmness around :-)))
If you will decide to create a poster featuring a phrase, make sure you think of something innovative and interesting:
It must not be just plain letters on the plain background!
" I recently purchased the Pagemaps 1 & 2 from Becky Fleck. Not only do you get the book of sketches and samples but at the back of the book you get all the sketches and samples on little cards, like playing cards and you also get the box for the cards. The box can be altered and so in keeping with the theme I decided to go with KEEP CALM AND SCRAP ON J because the boxes will sit on my desk and I will be able to take them with me wherever I go and so I will always have inspiration allowing me to KEEP CALM AND SCRAP ON... I loved this challenge. Thank you."

Now it is our designer's turn to keep you calm :-))
Here is what Jowilna says:
"I loved this challenge. I have threatened for ages to paint a Union Jack flag and this was the time. I used a piece of wood as my base board. I originally started off with black board paint but it wasn't meant to be...I used a purple blue paint dabber over the black to create the navy, then filled in the white and red. on top of everything I added my lettering cut on the cricut machine in plain white card stock. I sealed everything with a layer of gel medium. lastly, I added a layer of antiquing liquid that i use when painting furniture to give it an aged and antique look. A single oval diamond finishes off the crown also cut on the cricut. so I am off...to make some stuff..."
Lynette says:
"I never thought I would scrap these photos of my darling son. The title was however perfect for this. These photos were taken during a period of 3 months in which my son was diagnosed with a malformation in his brain which is inoperable and after two brain bleeds he was blind. The Lord restored his sight over a period of months, something the doctors believed was impossible."

Please come back on Thursday, we prepared a very interesting new challenge for you!
We are pretty sure that you will have a lot of fun with it!
We believe that you will find her creative and bright projects inspiring.
Please give a very warm welcome to this wonderful lady!
Here is what Rene' has to say about herself:
"Hello, my name is Rene’ Sharp and I live in a small town Dundee in Northern KZN. I have been happily married to my hubby Ray for 14 years now and we have 3 sons, Caide – 12, Bryce – 10 and Jamie – 4. I absolutely adore being a Mom and Wife and love the life we live in our little town. It’s a great place to bring up our boys!!
I have been scrapbooking since 2005 when I was shown a small demonstration, and have been hooked ever since. I am absolutely passionate about this hobby, and love the rewards it brings. To me there is nothing better than when my boys pull out their albums and they get excited remembering occasions and events from years gone by.
I am currently on the DT for the following sites - Scrapbook Studio (A South African online shop), Sketches in Thyme and Southern Girls Challenges, and in the past years have been on numerous scrapbooking and card making Design Teams.
I am absolutely THRILLED to have been asked to be a DT girl here at Scrap Africa, I have loved the site since I first found it. The challenges are fun and different to a lot of other sites, the sketches are always super inspiring!! I look forward to seeing where my Scrap Africa journey takes me!!!
We hope you get some time to be creative in the midst of busy lives.
Today it is Patricia's turn to share a little about herself.
We are very happy to have this wonderfully creative lady on our team.
Please give her a very warm welcome :-)
"Hello all...
I am Patricia Basson, mother of three grown up children and wife to George who is very lenient and supportive of my hobby.
I started Scrapbooking in 2007, after watching my youngest daughter scrapping her New York and Disney photos. I thought it looked like fun and decided to do a few pages...and never stopped from there on! I must admit though that my pages look way better now than they did then! And that all by just looking at other scrappers work via the internet and scrapping sites. It took me awhile to figure out what I like and what style suits me...and am still trying out different techniques.
I love layering and distressing my papers, I also love having a little bit of needle work on my pages. Another favourite is using chipboard elements which also get a lot of treatment. I love using punches and I am also a huge fan of anything Tim Holtz...be it techniques or products!
I am currently on the Design Team for Enmarc Crafts, a local producer of chipboard elements and Scrapbook Studio, a Scrapbook Store situated in Jeffreysbaai.
I feel very privileged to have been asked to join the team here at Scrap Africa! I hope that I will be able to offer a little inspiration to some one, some were, looking at my work...
Please feel free to visit my blog Between the Sheets to see more of my work."

Our special guest designer today is Carla de Zinger whose beautiful work simply can't be unnoticed.
Here is what Carla has to say about herself: "Hi, I am Carla de Zinger and honoured to be a guest designer for The Scrap Africa challenge blog. I live in Pretoria, South Africa and share my house with a loving husband and 5 dogs! I live my dream and is the proud owner of a Scrapbook Store, Sweet Scrappin’s for the last 9 years and enjoy every moment of it! I have a weakness for beautiful paper and therefore stock a large variety of paper. I adore everything with a heritage feel and love to scrapbook with old photos, lace, ribbon and vintage style papers. I have also been doing a technique article for a local Scrapbook magazine Scrapping&Kie since its origin 8 years ago. It is wonderful to see the wonderful scrapbook talent that we have in our country!"
Thank you, Carla, for joining us today at Scrap Africa! It is big honor to have you here!
