Meet Marelize Frisby

Hi Everyone

Today I introduce you to the last new DT member, and that is Marelize Frisby.

Here is a little about Marelize.

My name is Marelize Frisby and I live in beautiful scenic Perth in Western Australia. I have been married to my wonderful husband for nearly 23 years now and we have two teenage children, Mark (19) and Joanne (17). I grew up on a farm in Namibia and worked and lived in South Africa for many years, until we moved to Australia in 2005.

I started scrapbooking in 2004, after some prompting from a friend. I have always been a crafty person and studied and practised Fashion Design before I had children. I am currently on the Design Team for The Scrapbook Store, an Australian online store and am the DT coordinator for said store.  I am fortunate enough to have been published in Scrapbooking Memories on a regular basis and have written a series of ‘How To’ articles which appeared in the magazine on a monthly basis throughout 2012. I don’t think I have a specific style as I like to explore and experiment with new techniques. I love adding flowers and distressed layers to my pages and will often try and make my own embellishments.

What I love most about scrapbooking, besides it being my creative outlet, are the people I’ve met and friendships I’ve formed. I am thrilled to be part of this amazing team and to have the opportunity to work alongside such wonderfully talented ladies.

Winners - Hearts Challenge

Hi Everyone

I hope that your week has started well and that Monday has not been too bad!

We have some winners to announce today, for our Hearts Challenge! We had a wonderful 52 entries and were really so excited by that! So a BIG thanks to everyone that entered, it was so great to see the creativity and wonderful projects! We had a difficult time, deciding between all the super projects!

Sketch Challenge no.15

Hi Everyone

Today we have another wonderful sketch challenge for you!
We have some wonderful Guest Designers  for inspiration, as well as the inhouse DT.

It was a hot summesr day. I was sitting on the bench, with my men were running around, and held the children's bike ... I screwed up my eyes from the sun and all I wanted to do was ride with the wind, on the big bicycle... But this year we  have forgotten and not bought a bicycle again  .... Now I'm waiting for next summer!

Hi Everyone

We are onto the last two new DT members, and today we say hello to Mary Potapovich.

Here is a little about Mary.

My name is Maria and I'm a scrapaholic! Of course, the most works I do are made by the requests of customers (note pads, shadow boxes, cards...), but sometimes I want to make something for the soul. Most of my notebooks  go to customers with their individual fairy tale, written exclusively for them. Of course, there are some notebooks without stories in my blog, and there are some stories that do not have notebooks ...

Recently, I like and often make shadow-boxes, maybe because of the high demand for them. But sometimes I do them simply "for the mood."

Meet Lyudmila Kodyma

Hi Everyone

I have another lovely lady to introduce to you today and that is Lyudmila Kodyma.

Let me welcome the readers of “ScrapAfrica” blog! I am very pleased to be among the designers – this inspires me and eventually raises the level of my responsibility :)
 My name is Lyudmila. I am staying with my family – my husband and two wonderful sons – in Ufa, Russia. I’ve entered the scrap booking world quite obviously after becoming a mother :) Actually, my family is the highest inspiration for my work.
Mostly I love making cards and albums, as they are mostly functional and fully realize the main purpose of this hobby. As for the style and techniques, here I am “multi-skilled” – I like trying everything depending on my mood, materials and current sympathy :)

Channa Suitella - New DT Member

Hi Everyone

You have met 4 of our new DT members so far, and today is Channa Suitella's turn.

Here is what Channa has to share with us.

My name is Channa Suitella and I am born and raised in The Netherlands, but for the last 6 years I live in Athens, Greece. I am married for almost 3 years, with my gorgeous greek husband, hence the reason we live in Greece. No children or pets, that is still  a work in progress. I have been introduced to scrap-booking about 10 years ago by my mother, who has taught me several crafting options. From making small figurines of fimo clay, sewing, jewelry making, cards to scrap-booking. Over the years I have made several layouts which are stored in the Netherlands and I am making a new collection here in Greece. I have several passions............travelling, addicted to series, shopping etc but the main one is crafting.  I love making cards & layouts, using several techniques and tools, stamps, ribbons, punches. Basically anything that I can find in my stash. I take my time in every craft project I make. I am that bad that if I am not satisfied at the end I will start all over again. At the moment I have some favorite products like dylusion sprays and modeling paste.
